YARDEN: Four-piece anthemic rock band

1997 - 2009

28 April 2009

Well here we are - the last ever YARDEN newsletter. After twelve wonderful years of serving Churches at the grassroots throughout the UK and into Europe, the book has finally been closed.

On Saturday 25th April we were joined by friends and family to write the final chapter on what has been an incredible journey. We set out to be a faceless and nameless people that were not looking for reward, recognition or popularity, but simply to see the Kingdom of God come as we worshipped and served. We achieved that and found great rewards and success in knowing we were being obedient. Our final evening was like many others we have been involved in – no platform, amongst the people, understated and without a fanfare.

Along the way we had the privilege of recording and releasing some of our music in a variety of locations as well as visiting many, many Churches and organisations. We connected with people from all walks of life, as well as other musicians and sound engineers who blessed us with their talents and gifts.

We always felt we existed to teach others how to “get on with it”, sparking small fires along the way which others then came and stoked into roaring flames. We rarely got the chance to see the results, but that was part of our calling.

Thanks again to everyone who has loved and supported us through the years. We have loved every minute of it and are full of thanks and gratitude to the Father who let us do it and the people who welcomed us into their lives.

Your servants always – Ben, Matt, Si, Steve and Tim
