CAPTURED is the latest recording from YARDEN. It was recorded between March and May 2007 in various locations, including our own studio, KC21, The Shed and The Saffron Room.

When we started recording this mini-album, Simon suggested we should call it ‘CAPTURED’. The name was popular straight away, but it was only as we reached the end that the name took on true meaning. In this, our tenth year as a band, we felt as though God was reminding us why we do this. He was painting a whole new picture of love, grace, blessing, meaning and a hope for the future. We were caught by it.

Jamming Songs Rather Than Writing Songs

Many of these songs were recorded quite spontaneously, almost being ‘jammed’ out as we recorded. We have always described the recording process being like painting a picture; you start with nothing and build it up with different colours. This recording was more like taking photographs; pictures in time that captured moments as we recorded and sang.

We hope and pray that this handful of songs bless you, no matter where you are in life.
